Support from Business Professionals to Healthcare Workers
Today, as part of a campaign organized by BHS Household Appliances Inc., Ersin Mutlu, the owner of Mutlu Profilo, Faruk Dokumacı, İsa Şengüloğlu and İshak Şengüloğlu, the owners of Şen Kardeşler Store, Yılmaz Durmazoğlu and Haydar Durmazoğlu, the owners of Durmazlar Ticaret, Yakup Demircan, the Mayor of Gölyaka and businessman, along with their dealers, Ak Gıda Company, Taşkesti Su Company, Özdilek Company, as well as unnamed companies and citizens, provided support to Düzce University Health Practice and Research Hospital with home appliances, small household items, food, and cleaning supplies.
The Chief Physician of Düzce University Health Practice and Research Hospital, Prof. Dr. Öner Abidin Balbay, made a statement regarding this support: "In this global pandemic, healthcare workers have shouldered a great burden. In coordination with our Rector Prof. Dr. Nigar Demircan Çakar, our Faculty of Medicine Dean Prof. Dr. İdris Şahin, and Provincial Health Director Dr. Yasin Yılmaz, we continue all necessary work for the health of our personnel and patients in our province. During this challenging period, we are receiving support for our hospital from civil society organizations, the business world, and our citizens. Although this pandemic has created physical distance between us, it brings us joy to see that our hearts beat together. On this occasion, I sincerely thank all those who continue their duties in areas such as cleaning, technical service, supplies, security, and secretarial services, as well as the staff of the Chief Physician and Chief Management, who have been vital in assisting our healthcare workers. We are a strong nation, and we are confident that, together, we will overcome this pandemic.
